1. Overview

AI Product Analyzer (the “App”) is built to add an “Analyze with AI” button to your product pages. The App is developed and maintained by Clif Claycomb (the “Developer”). This policy explains what merchant and storefront data we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

• Shop metadata – shop ID, permanent domain, and basic contact information supplied by Shopify during OAuth.
• App settings – button text, color, prompt template, and other preferences you configure in the App admin. These are stored as Shopify metafields and mirrored in our database for faster access.
• No shopper PII – the frontend button opens ChatGPT directly in the customer’s browser; we do not proxy, log, or store conversation content.

3. How We Use the Data

• To render and customize the “Analyze with AI” button on your storefront.
• To save your in-app settings so they persist between sessions.
• To provide support and product improvements (aggregate, anonymized analytics).

4. Data Storage & Security

Merchant session data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase and accessed via Prisma. Supabase runs on encrypted volumes and enforces network-level security; all traffic between your store and the App is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain merchant data for as long as the App is installed. Upon uninstallation, Shopify triggers a APP_UNINSTALLED webhook; we erase related database records within 30 days. You may also request deletion at any time via email.
